Customer Review: My First Review. My first veggie cook book
Like all the other reviewers I bought this book after dining at the restuarant in Bath. Hoping to try and recreate some delicious meals at home. I’m not a veggie but love meat free grub now and then. The book is not too complicated, if like me you learnt to cook with Jamie Oliver then all is well, you will have skills enough. The only thing that lets it down, as with most if not all cookbooks is that there are not enough pictures of the dishes. A few more pictures of the dishes would have really helped, for example instead of pic of the Gado Gado salad there is a pic of a guy in a boat, instead of a pic of the Stilton and potatoe souffles with courgettte, apple and mushroom sauce there is a pic of, ahem a big dusty old potatoe. Fine but somone like me who loves to cook but whose presentation is always a bit of a let down could really benefit with a nice pic of how it should look. Anyway a small negative against an inspiring and fantastic book. My first veggy cookbook. yum yum
Customer Review: Real cooking for vegetarians
I’ve been a fan of Demuths restaurant for many years, so it was fantastic when they brought out this book. An excellent full-colour book with beautiful photos and of course some of the best vegetarian and vegan recipes you are going to find. Rachel Demuth’s recipes are simple and natural, drawing influences from across the globe, resulting in pleasing balanced meals that will excite food lovers, vegetarian or not. Her cooking style has changed the way I cook forever, compelling me to use delicious ingredients such as Tamari, quinoa and a whole range of aromatic fresh herbs. A must eat!
