The writing-directing team of Charles Shyer and Nancy Meyers (Father of the Bride) made this sweet satire about a high-powered yuppie executive (Diane Keaton) who unexpectedly becomes a mom and finds she can’t successfully integrate the role into her busy life. Typical of the Shyer-Meyers films prior to Myers taking the director’s reins on the wonderful Parent Trap, Baby Boom is a little wooden and more sentimental than genuine. But there are entertaining moments, for sure, and Keaton is a delight. –Tom Keogh
Customer Review: Funny and great
Baby Boom has to be considered a classic film of the 80s by now. It’s like what “Sixteen Candles (High School Reunion Collection)” and “The Breakfast Club (High School Reunion Collection)” was for teens. Diane Keaton’s character, a high powered executive consultant, gets an inheritance from the cousin: a baby! Although she wants to give the baby up for adoption (baby not in her plans), she grows to love the child and moves to the country to have a new life. She encounters interesting characters, love and humor. This is a great portrayal by Diane Keaton and makes me think of “Annie Hall”. She is neurotic, funny and completely psychotic, just how Diane Keaton can play it. This character is like the precursor for her movie with Jack Nicholson, “Something’s Gotta Give”. This is a really good movie, full of laughs and good-hearted humor.

diane keaton is great in baby boom . she makes motherhood look easy and juggle work at the same time…when she left with a baby from her cousin’s will she finds herself in between motherhood/work…. it a movie you got to see ….

Customer Review: Great idea; cute’ but a little too bright.
I was torn as to whether to give this 3 or 4 stars. I went with 4 because I do think it is a great concept and seems to work well. The only issues is that, although it has a “dim” setting, it is still quite bright. Maybe another color would be less intense. Having said this, it works perfectly for the purpose for which I bought it. My 1-year-old has asthma, and when he is having difficulties I have to give him nebulizer treatments at night time that last about 10 minutes. I always try to keep the lights down so that he won’t wake up during the treatment, but it is hard to make sure he is getting the medicine in the dark. So I bought this night light so that I can put it in his crib or hold it up next to the crib so I can see that he is getting the medicine. It works very well for these purposes. My son likes to play with it in the morning when it is still dark and he is running round our room before I am ready to get out of bed. He seems quite amused by it and likes that he can turn it on and off on his own. I do recommend this product, but do know that it will light up the whole room and is quite bright to look at directly.

We have been having trouble finding a light for our bedroom at night that would let me and my husband see while nursing and changing our daughter’s diaper, but that didn’t distract her and wake her up. The blue tykelight is the perfect solution. We liked the first one we got so much that we ordered a second one to keep by the changing table. The blue light doesn’t disrupt REM sleep like other lights do.

Leave it to Weber to think of it all. I got this as a gift for mom to go along with the Weber Q that I bought for her and it is very convenient and very sturdy. I would certainly agree that it is worth the $$.

The cart seems flimsy but works. If used on smooth floors it is stable. Becareful when going over thresholds and uneven ground. After setting up and disassembly several times it will be easier to work. A little complicated at first but easier with time. Great price and good design overall. alan

This was a gift for my 5yo son and he loved it, its lightweight so he can handle it on his own and he has enjoyed it immensley, much cheaper too than some of the pricier ones at retail stores!
